Summer at Magnify

Summer is just around the corner, and now is a great time to start making your plans! Be sure to save the dates for the events and gatherings you don’t want to miss. Some events are already open for registration, while others will be available soon, so keep checking the Events page for the latest details and sign-up links. Please note: the grades listed refer to the grades students and kids will be entering this fall.


1829 Africa Missions Trip

This trip will travel to Nairobi, Kenya, as Magnify partners with Kara Kibera Kids (a school, feeding program, and local church) in the Kibera community, one of the largest informal settlements in the world. This trip is designed for those who want to serve with purpose while building meaningful cross-cultural relationships.

1829 Unplugged

In a world that’s always on, Unplugged is your invitation to slow down. This summer, we’re creating spaces for our 1829 Family to disconnect from distractions and reconnect with God and each other. Northview Kids Week

Grab your explorer gear and get ready for three unforgettable evenings in the jungle! Kids will trek through exciting games, create hands-on jungle crafts, and discover powerful Bible stories exploring that no matter how wild things get, God’s Got It!

Bare Soles

Join us for an unforgettable week of adventure and connection on beautiful Dale Hollow Lake in Kentucky! This experience combines the perfect mix of relaxation and excitement as we live on houseboats, explore the lake, and deepen our faith together. Expect plenty of swimming, games, shared meals, and meaningful conversations under the stars. It’s a unique opportunity to grow spiritually, make lifelong friendships, and create memories you’ll always treasure. Don’t miss out!

Total Impact

Total Impact is a summer mission experience for students entering 8th grade. We will spend the week learning what it looks like to follow Jesus’ example of humility by looking to the interests of others. Students will have the opportunity to serve widows from our congregation, support our local partners in Grand Rapids, Rockford, and Newaygo, and come together in worship as we grow as a community of servant-hearted brothers and sisters!

Women at Magnify Summer Gatherings

Community grows best in unhurried spaces. This summer, Magnify women are gathering around bonfires and playgrounds to connect, laugh, and breathe a little deeper together. No pressure. No prep. Just real connection with other women from Magnify Church. Check out the Ensley Tasty Tuesdays, Northview and Rockford bonfires, and Women at Magnify Coffee and Friends opportunities this summer!

Men at Magnify Summer Connects

Each Summer Men at Magnify shifts gears by moving from weekly gatherings, to monthly events. This summer, we plan to gather each month to help each man LIVE HIS MISSION. Whether it’s around a bonfire or at a ballgame, we look forward to staying connected in more informal settings.

TWAC (Teen Worship Arts Camp)

Teen worship arts camp is a week for students to develop their skills and passion in the creative arts. Classes include guitar lessons, painting, dance, singing, acting, photography, set building, sound, and other creative pursuits. Students will grow not only skill, but also in passion for using their gifts for God. The camp experience culminates with leading worship on Sunday morning and a presentation on Sunday night.

Ensley High School Smokies Trip

Join us for a 6-day hiking and camping trip in the Great Smoky Mountains this summer. Based out of Elkmont Campground, we’ll spend our days hiking, cooking meals together, and growing through shared challenges. This trip is designed to stretch students physically and spiritually, helping them build resilience, deepen friendships, and see God’s glory in His creation.

Tetons

Tackle new challenges and climb new heights in the Tetons this summer! We promise a week of backpacking, hard work, and time spent exceedingly well. This rewarding trip will help you step into your final years of high school well, as you forge new and deeper friendships.

Ensley Kids Week

Swing into Ensley Kids Week: Jungle Adventure! Join us for three fun-filled days where kids will enjoy games, crafts, food, and powerful lessons from the Bible as we trek through the jungle learning about our great God.

Join us for a unique service and adventure trip backpacking the Grand Island in the UP, exploring the Pictured Rocks, learning from God’s Word, serving others, and much more!

KWAC (Kids Worship Arts Camp)

Kids Worship Arts camp is a week for kids to develop and learn how to use their artistic talents for God. Students will spend a week in electives such as painting, crafts, acting, dancing, singing and others. The camp experience culminates with leading worship on Sunday morning and a presentation on Sunday night.

1829 Alaska Missions 

This will be a high-intensity serve trip to Port Alsworth, Alaska where we will be running a week-long middle school camp with Tanalian Bible Camp. Our team will fill all positions, including camp counselors, crafts, games, cooking, and cleaning.

West Virginia

The West Virginia Adventure Trip is an amazing week that includes hiking, camping, whitewater rafting, swimming, and exploring God’s beautiful creation. Students will be encouraged to grow in their faith, build deeper friendships, and discover who they can trust when life gets challenging.

Wild Wednesday

2 WILD summer nights for kids entering Grades 3 & 4. Join us for crazy fun, swimming, water games, snacks, friends, and learning about our great God. This summer our focus is on the Double Love Command: Loving God and Loving Others.

1829 Encounter

1829 will be backpacking for a week in God’s creation through the stunning Wind River Range in Wyoming. This trip is an opportunity to unplug from daily distractions, challenge ourselves physically, build meaningful community, and seek the Lord together through Scripture, prayer, and shared experiences on the trail. Expect breathtaking views, intentional fellowship, and space to reflect on God’s presence and purpose as we journey together.

5/6 Michigan’s Adventure

Join us for an exciting day at Michigan’s Adventure! We will be riding coasters, beating the heat in the water park, and hanging out with your leaders and friends. Please register by August 5 for planning purposes.

Unashamed – Baptism Sunday & Beach Baptism

Let’s Celebrate Baptism Together!
We’re kicking off the day with one 9am service at each campus with a special time of worship, teaching, and baptism testimonies. Then we’ll head to the beach at Maranatha to cheer on those getting baptized in Lake Michigan as they go public with their faith!
Head straight to the beach when you arrive at Maranatha. We’ll have hot dogs, chips, (bring your own drink), and ice cream waiting for you!
It’s going to be an unforgettable morning. No need to sign up, just come ready to celebrate!
