TOGETHER IN LIFE
What’s your favorite fall flavor: pumpkin or apple?
TOGETHER IN THE WORD
Read Ephesians 2:11-22 aloud together.
QUESTIONS
- What do you think it means to 1) remember our separation, 2) rejoice in our reconciliation, and 3) live as one household in the global church?
- Is there a “chalk line” in your life between you and someone else in the Body of Christ, or between you and a group of people or a person who is not like you? Is there anyone who you need to pursue reconciliation with?
- Stu mentioned 5 things that poison peace: racism / classism, cynicism, busyness, bitterness / unforgiveness, and pride. Do you relate to any of these? What could be your next step in building one-ness and peace?
- How are you living as one family and caring for other members of the Body of Christ, especially those who are new, on the margins, or do not have a family outside of the church?
- What would it look like for the story of Ephesians 2:11-22 to be the story of our lives?
TOGETHER IN ACTION
Examine chalk lines in your life that you have intentionally or unintentionally drawn that separate you from brothers or sisters in Christ.
Don’t stop there. Know that the reconciliation you have with God both allows and requires you to be reconciled to fellow believers – do whatever is needed to walk in unity with others.
