REMINDERS

You can keep up with all our current news and events through our online bulletin.

Wednesday Nights at Northview

Wednesday Nights at Magnify Northview are all about community, growth, and family. Join us weekly for adult classes, student, and kids programming. See the events section on the website for more information.

Trunk or Treat at Northview

Join us on Wednesday, October 29th for a night of treats and fun for the whole family! Enjoy decorated trunks, plenty of candy, and a safe place to celebrate together. If you’d like to dress up, please wear family-friendly costumes. Invite your friends and neighbors. See the events section on the website for more information.

Family Connect

Young families (with or without kids) are invited to join us on the first Sunday of each month following the first service for about 30 minutes in the Student Center to catch up with families you know, and connect with families you haven’t yet met! This is a great space for kids to run around, have fun and enjoy a light snack. If you are in a different stage of life, for example, a grandparent, we would love for you to come too! What a great gift for the different generations to do life together! See the events section on the website for more information.

TOGETHER IN THE WORD

Read Ephesians 3:1–13 aloud together.

QUESTIONS

  1. Paul talks about suffering as he serves Christ. When have you experienced suffering either physically or in other ways? Briefly describe that suffering.
  2. Did you wait too long to care for the pain either physically or emotionally? For example, you experienced trauma but didn’t talk to a therapist or didn’t take pain medication on schedule after a surgery. How did you feel?
  3. What did that suffering teach you? How did God use it?
  4. Is there an area of pain that you are not letting God use in your life? Why not?
  5. Think about the “administration,” or stewardship, we are called to as part of God’s economy. How are you “administering” your gifts, talents, and passions for the good of God’s family?
  6. How has the gospel—the exchange of our sin for God’s salvation—become clearer as you experience more of life?
  7. Paul says in v. 12 that “through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.” Do you approach God with confidence? What things shake your confidence in God? What might prevent you from approaching God freely?
  8. How does NV Shares reflect Paul’s idea of how the body of Christ works?

TOGETHER IN ACTION

Think through what gifts, talents, and passions you can contribute to the NV Shares initiative.
Ask someone what they see as your gifts and talents.

Make a list of the ways suffering has changed you for the better.
