QUESTIONS
- Ephesians 2:3 talks about the “desires and thoughts” of our flesh. What cravings, desires, and thoughts do you struggle with? Self-protection? Lust? Envy? Greed? Self-interest?
- We’ve been saved “by grace.” Where and how have you seen God’s grace show up in
your life? - How would you describe your personality, passions, experiences, and gifts? Where do
you think you are particularly gifted? - How have your experiences—childhood, family, trauma, illness, love, joy—shaped you?
- Paul talks about how we are “created in Christ Jesus to do good works.” What do those
“good works” look like in your life? - How can we move beyond simply learning about our gifts, personality, and passions to
actually using them for the good of the church? - Where and why are you stuck right now? Inaction? Fear? Apathy? Lack of discipleship?
- How can the church help you discover, develop, and deploy your gifts? How can it help
you use them well?
