SNOW DAY 2026

(Grades 5-8) This Snow Day won’t get you out of school, but it will give you a great day of sledding, snowmen/snow fort building competitions, and more. You’ll leave with hot cocoa in hand and a red-cheeked smile on your face. Invite your friends!

You can keep up with all our current news and events through our online bulletin.

See the events page on the website for more updates.

TOGETHER IN LIFE

  • Share ways that you got through these days of frigidly cold temperatures.
  • Did any of you attend January Series events? Which speakers did you hear? How were you challenged?
  • If you spent time reading during the cold snap, what did you read?

TOGETHER IN THE WORD

When you think about marriage and the roles of husbands and wives, what emotions or thoughts come to mind?

Read Ephesians 5:1-7

  • Look in your Bible. Is verse 21 at the end of the last paragraph or at the beginning of the passage? Does it make a difference in how you interpret the passage?
  • Read the passage in the NLT. Thoughts?

THE JESUS ROLE

Key Question: How has my physical, financial, spiritual, and emotional life been impacted by culture?

  • What do you think in means to be “embodied creatures?”
  • Why do you think Paul ranks greed at the same level as sexual immorality and impurity?
  • What are the links between greed and impurity?
  • How have you seen “empty words” spoken recently?
  • What kind of “empty words” do you use when speaking to others?
  • How has pornography impacted you or a family member?
  • How much time do you spend on your phone daily? Now, rethink that and tell us how much time you really spend on your phone daily.

TOGETHER IN PRAYER & ACTION

  • Keep track of how much time you spend on your devices for three days straight and report back to your small group.
  • What can you do this week to be “imitators of God?” What does that look like in your life?
  • Think about how you can turn your “empty words” into words that God can use in others’ lives.
  • Pray for opportunities to be God’s voice and hands in the world this week.
