You can keep up with all our current news and events through our online bulletin.
A Pastoral Candidate Is Here!
This morning Steve Welch announced that the board has approved a candidate for senior pastor, who will advance to the next phase of the process. There will be many opportunities in October to get to know him and his family as we prepare to take a vote, so stay tuned! In the meantime, keep praying for the candidate, for our church, and for God’s direction as we continue the process.
Men’s & Women’s and Fall Studies
New fall studies for men’s groups and women’s groups have begun! There are multiple times available for each, so sign up for the time and study that fits best.
TOGETHER IN LIFE
Have you ever had something of great value and didn’t know it? Or had something you thought was valuable but turned out to be worthless?
TOGETHER IN THE WORD
Read Ephesians 1:15–23 aloud together.
QUESTIONS
- What does it look like to pursue the knowledge of God? How have you done this in the past month?
- How are the eyes of your heart doing? Do you find spiritual insight easy or challenging? How do you keep it tethered to God’s Word?
- J. I. Packer differentiated between optimism (positivity without regard for reality) and hope (confidence in God’s promises). How are you doing at practicing biblical hope right now?
- Is materialism, disappointment, tragedy, or something else most likely to dampen your hopes?
- Do you believe that you have everything you need in Christ? Is there anything you’re chasing right now that prevents you from resting in Him?
TOGETHER IN ACTION
Share one area of your life that you need to see differently because of the power of Christ.
Pray this week that God would give you eyes to see Christ’s power over your fears, doubts, and struggles.
