TOGETHER IN LIFE

In the sermon, Steve talked about some of his favorite group trips that he’s taken with Magnify. Tell your group about a favorite trip that you’ve taken: Where did you go, when did you go, and why did you love it?

TOGETHER IN THE WORD

Read Ephesians 3:14-21 aloud together.

QUESTIONS

  • What stood out to you from the sermon?
  • We learned that in verse 16 the phrase “according to the riches of his glory” means in measure with the riches of his glory. How does this help you understand God’s gifts to you in Christ?
  • Steve shared four lies that limit us from knowing the limitless love of God: 1) I’m too far from God 2) What is going to happen if I fail? 3) This life is good enough 4) You wouldn’t like me if you saw what is underneath. Looking at these four lies, are there any that limit you from knowing the limitless love of God?
  • Steve contrasted these lies with the truths spelled out for us in the rest of the book of Ephesians (refer back to the slides if necessary). How do these truths free you from believing any of the lies you’ve previously believed?
  • What are some ways you can surround yourself with these truths daily so that you “know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God” (v19)?

TOGETHER IN PRAYER & ACTION

  • Ask God to help you KNOW His love in deeper and deeper ways.
  • Confess to someone you trust any lies that limit you from knowing God’s love.
  • Take time to let God’s love overwhelm you and respond to Him in worship.
