TOGETHER IN LIFE
Steve told a story about forgetting his wife’s car had a habit of automatically locking when the keys are inside. Have you ever forgotten something big or that carried big consequences?
TOGETHER IN THE WORD
Read Deuteronomy 6:4–12 aloud together.
KEY QUESTION: What are you doing to rehearse and remember who God is and what He has done?
QUESTIONS:
- God warned Israel that finding satisfaction could cause them to forget. How has satisfaction impacted your life? Has it brought gratitude or complacency?
- Share a time when God helped you see His character in the midst of hardship.
- We remember what we rehearse. What things has your heart been rehearsing lately?
- How does the Good News of salvation in Jesus by grace through faith give you perspective on the things you’re facing right now?
- What “stones of remembrance” have you set up in your life to point you to what God has done?
TOGETHER IN PRAYER & ACTION
- Reflect on the ways worship, community, and gratitude help you live a remembering life.
- Consider what stories of God’s faithfulness you will pass on to others.
