Reflection Tips:
- Read the poem at a regular reading pace for you.
- Read it again 2-3 times slower. Consider the words that jump out at you and why you think they do.
- What is the poem about? Name 1-3 key points.
- What person do you think the author had in mind when he wrote it?
- What do you think the author was trying to get across to his intended audience?
- What stood out to you most? Why do you think that is?
- What was confusing or challenging?
- What did you like? What didn’t you like about it?
- Is there anything you learned or something you think you’d like to do as a result of this poem?
❤️ HEART CHALLENGE: Make or Buy something for someone that you know would be meaningful and bring it to them as a gift.
Consider someone in your life that you haven’t connected with in a while, make or buy something for them to show that you were mindful of them and that you care.
- Bake some bread.
- Bring over a cut of meat or a prepared meal.
- Drop off a pack of their favorite beverage or snack.
- Make a s’mores kit for their family.
💪🏻 STRENGTH CHALLENGE: Travel over 20 miles in the next week by walk, run, swim, or bike.
Challenge yourself to go far this week.
- Don’t worry about pace or speed. Just maximize distance.
- Push yourself beyond what you might normally be doing in your training. If 20 miles is a typical week for you, double it. If 0 miles is typical for you, try making it 1 mile each day (7 miles).
