SERMON DISCUSSION GUIDE
THIS WEEK’S KEY PASSAGE: Hebrews 10:19-25
TOGETHER IN LIFE
- What were the high points and low points of your summer?
- What are you excited about as autumn approaches?
- What do you look forward to for this life group?
TOGETHER IN THE WORD
READ ALOUD: Hebrews 10:19-25 in several versions of the Bible
KEY QUESTION: How are we spurring each other on—provoking one another—to live for Christ?
QUESTIONS:
- What kind of involuntary (or voluntary) confinement are you living under today?
- Health issues?
- Depression?
- Family responsibilities/care?
- Difficult job?
- Who has spoken into your life recently regarding those things? Whose life have you spoken into?
- How has living life with others been a good thing for you?
- What is hard about living life with others?
- Make a note of people you know who need encouragement and decide how you can encourage them this week.
- Where might you be “clamoring” in your life right now?
- How have you seen God’s faithfulness in your life this season?
TOGETHER IN PRAYER & ACTION
- Pray for your group members as you do this part of your life together.
- Look for ways to encourage those who are in “times of confinement.” Make a list of what you can do for them.
- Ask yourself how you can do a little “provoking” this week, both for yourself and others.
