Sunday Nights – Rockford

Sunday Nights at Magnify Rockford are all about community, growth and family. Join us weekly for one adult class, niteLIFE, and kids programming.

Sunday Night Adult Class

Pre-class Prayer Time: Global Partner Prayer | Prayer Room | 5:45-6pm (will meet January – April only)
Join us each week before Sunday night classes to pray for one of our Global Partners. What a gift to be able to lift them up and their immediate needs as they serve locally and globally to advance the great commission.


Christian Foundations: Truth to Build Your Life On | Auditorium | 6-7pm (no class when special programming is happening in the Auditorium, see above for dates and other offerings)
This semester Ben Phebus and Josh Vajda will be using a Biblical Theology approach to lay out the foundations of our faith. This class will be a celebration of the central truths of our faith beneficial for those exploring faith for the first time or seasoned followers of Jesus who want to learn more. This class will offer a lecture format, with opportunities to ask questions, and time for discussion.


Ray Vander Laan Video Series; Men and Women Study | Room 304 | 6-7pm
Join renowned teacher and historian Ray Vander Laan as he guides you through the land of the Bible. In each lesson, Vander Laan illuminates the historical, geographical, and cultural context of the sacred Scriptures. Filmed on location in the Middle East and elsewhere, the That The World May Know film series will encourage you in your understanding of God and your relationship with Jesus.


Leadership Development Class | The Pond | 6-7pm
“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another” (Prov. 27:17) As group leaders, we all need sharpening from time to time. Join us this fall for our “Leader Development Class”, where we will take time to connect as group leaders and get a bit sharper together. Whether you’re curious about leading in the future, new to it, or have led for 30 years, this class will provide you with helpful insights and big picture ideas of how groups work at Magnify Church to “Always Make Disciples”. We’ll discuss tactics and tools of group leadership. Then, we’ll spend time chatting and practicing them so you can grow in your confidence as a leader. This class is on-going and nonlinear: feel free to jump in anytime!

Leader requirements

  • Our desire is that new leaders would join us for 8 weeks prior to leading.
    Existing leaders, we’d love to have you jump in 4 times in a calendar year.
    For those curious about leading (prospective leaders), feel free to drop-in anytime.

Marriage Class | Portable 3 | 6-7pm
Come join us for another round of our marriage class. Years of discovery and life experience are boiled down into the things we’ve found most important and helpful for every couple to know and practice. Honest dialogue about our marriages will give you categories and handles for understanding and improving your marriage. Whether you have major struggles that you are working through or just want to make something good even better, this is a great place to start. Louie Konopka, Gary and Karen Baker, and Gary and Lisa Heim will lead this class.


Financial Peace University | Room 420 | 6-7pm
Learn step by step how to budget, beat debt, save money, and build wealth for the future. No complicated blah blah blah here. FPU teaches simple, commonsense principles that work. Plan For Your Future. Build a Legacy. Communicate in Marriage. Win With Money. This class is facilitated by Andy and Tiffany Woodard and requires pre-registration and a fee paid to Financial Peace for class materials.

GriefShare | Room 300 | 5:30-7pm
Grieving the loss of someone close to you? Find comfort and support at GriefShare. No matter if the loss is recent or years ago, doing grief work leads to a path of healing. GriefShare is a Christ-centered, 13 week video-based ministry. This class is designed to reach and help Magnify Church attendees as well as any community members in the grieving process in a safe and loving environment. One may join on any week, though attendees are encouraged to commit to all sessions if possible.This class is taught by Melissa Sagorski Hall and Todd Heminger.
