Men,
THIS WEEK we will launch our new spring series Delighting in the Trinity. We believe studying biblical doctrine is an important part of spiritual growth and discipleship, and this year we are building on last year’s theme of the doctrine of God.
If you were with us last spring, you know we studied the attributes of God, or the characteristics and perfections that He has and why they matter. This year we turn our attention to the Trinity. Like the attributes, we will learn more about who God is and what difference it makes in our lives. And like the attributes, you will see that these truths are important biblical teachings and not disposable add-ons.
To help us in the process, we’re reading through one of the best books on the subject: Delighting in the Trinity by Michael Reeves. A scholar, leader, and preacher, Reeves brings a great balance of gifts to his work. You can learn more about him here.
As with our last study, each week we’ll post the handouts ahead of time to give you time to consider the questions we’ll be discussing. We’ll also continue to dig deeper into each week’s topic through our podcast (links below). Lastly, we’ll provide additional resources for you to consider as we get into the study.
Men, as we seek to help you Live Your Mission, we want to be faithful to the Great Commission:
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matt. 28:19–20)
May God bless you in this study as we consider what it means to be a disciple of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
