JOY Potluck 55+ – Sunday, October 26 – Please join us for a potluck lunch following the second service at Rockford in the Commons. Please bring a dish to pass. We meet monthly for fellowship and lunch.
Kids Christmas Program Practice – October 26. Kids grades K–6 are invited to be part of this year’s Kids Christmas Program! Rehearsals are Sunday nights (during Sunday Night programming) starting October 26. The performance is Sunday, December 7, 6-7pm.
BBA – Celebrating 29 years of High School basketball. This league is perfect for the high school guy who loves the game and is looking for some competitive fun. No practices are required. Just gather your team (or sign up as an individual), show up ready to play, and compete for your shot at glory… and a spot on the legendary BBA banner! Registration open online.
Text Ten – Sunday, November 2. We will invite our whole church to give selflessly to help meet benevolent needs by texting to 616-433-2011. If each person gives just $10, our Benevolent Fund would be fully funded for the entire year! Thank you for partnering with us to be the hands and feet of Jesus in our community.

Praise:
God has been moving in powerful ways with the new start of the school year! On college campuses across the nation, there is a growing receptivity to the gospel. Students are hungry for the love and purpose that Jesus provides. We are also witnessing those who follow Jesus more deeply surrendering and trusting Jesus in times of uncertainty and anxiety. The college students we interact with have a lot of fear about the future. God is giving them peace and hope through their trust in Him!
Prayer:
We need God’s guidance as we bring an unchanging message of Jesus to changing times. Sadly, social media is forming more students than Jesus is, but at the same time, God is using social media to draw students to Himself. We need discernment as we make disciples of college students in a digital age. We are seeing a growing curiosity about the End Times among students. Their biblical literacy is often low in this regard, so we are having a sermon series on Daniel in November. We would love your prayers for an increased hope for Jesus’ return!
February 13-18, 2026 – Mexico Missions Trip with Back2Back Ministries This trip is for High School juniors and seniors. We are so excited to offer a High School missions trip to Mazatlán, Mexico in partnership with Back2Back Ministries. Back2Back seeks to provide holistic care for vulnerable children through their work in children’s homes and with families in the community. Our students will experience what it means to serve selflessly, grow deeper in their faith, and see firsthand how God is at work around the world. Applications are due by November 2.
