Still Praying for a Better View

Magnify Family Updates - Posted March 11th, 2026

With our sermon series on Ephesians now behind us, we look back and remember one of the prayers Paul offers up there:

I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which He has called you, what are the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His great might that He worked in Christ when He raised him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.
(Eph 1:16–21)

This is a prayer we can continue to pray for one another: that God would give us greater wisdom by His Spirit, to crack the door just a little wider so we get a better glimpse of all we have in Him. As we continue to wait for a new lead pastor, we are reminded that whoever our earthly shepherd is here, Jesus Christ is Lord. His power on our behalf is immeasurably great.

We’re grateful that the work of the ministry continues at the hands of faithful men and women here, both staff and volunteers. Among those faithful ministers is our Congregational Transition Team as they continue their hard work in reviewing applications. Each one brings their unique gifts and perspectives to the process, and they are still energized for the work. They continue to meet every other week for prayer and have additional meetings as needed. There are a few applicants they are actively looking over now, and we continue to trust that God will guide us each step of this process.

As we turn our attention to Easter and the cross, let’s remember daily the one hope that unites us: the gospel of Jesus Christ. We are always making disciples because He made a way for sinners to draw near. We get to bring that good news to a world that desperately needs it. Keep praying. Keep serving. Keep sharing.

Together in Christ,
