The Pastoral Search and Congregational Transition Teams are actively engaged in the search for our next lead pastor. Both internal and external candidates have been invited to participate in our search. Our search has generated interest from local candidates and from candidates outside of Michigan. Resumes are being reviewed and initial interviews have begun. As we continue to pray for our church and for those involved in the search, we want to bring specific focus to prayer for our next leader.
This week we want to earnestly invite every person in Magnify to pray for the person whom God is calling to be the next lead pastor. Our Father knows the needs of our church and our community. Let’s commit this week to go before our Heavenly Father who is loving and wise, and pray together for the person whom God will call.
‘But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.’ Galatians 5:22-26
Prayer Focus:
Please pray for our future leader this week. Pray for his walk with the Lord, that he would seek after God and be a man after his own heart. Pray for protection from the enemy. Pray for God to bless his ministry – current and future. Pray for his family and his marriage. Pray for the potential transitions from job and home. Pray that his family would be received and loved well by our church.
