Committed to the Process

Magnify Family Updates - Posted July 3rd, 2025

The search for our next lead pastor is on-going and continues to generate interest. At this point in the process, we have networked with just over 600 individuals through personal contacts, emails, and social networks.

Our networking has yielded nearly 50 potential candidates of which the Pastoral Search and Congregational Transition teams have been in the process of vetting for more formal conversations and interviews.

At this point, no candidates have been submitted to the full Church Board for interviews.

The nature of this process has required us to work with a high degree of professional sensitivity given the roles and relationships currently maintained by the candidates we are engaged with.

We have worked to streamline the process as much as possible, but we are learning that it takes time to coordinate schedules between candidates and members of the Pastoral Search and Congregational Transition teams – especially during the summer months.

In the meantime, Don Denyes remains committed to shepherding us through this transition and understands a process like this takes time. We are grateful for Don’s perspective, wisdom, and love for God’s Word as he continues to minister to us.

Everyone involved remains committed to identifying the best candidate through a process that requires a deliberate and prayerful approach.

Prayer Focus

Please continue to pray for:

  • God’s guidance for our Pastoral Search and Congregation Transition Teams as they continue the process.
  • Don Denyes’ ongoing ministry among us.
  • Our church family’s continued effectiveness in our mission of always making disciples, now and in the days to come.
  • Patience as we move forward together, committed to the process.

Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.
