In ancient times, a well was dug for basic life giving water and a community would grow around it. In time, the well became the central hub for both sustenance and socializing. As you filled your jars you would fellowship to learn the news & needs of your neighbors. Today, we have a need for a central hub to bond our growing church together. A place where we can learn of our own community’s news & needs.
“We are intimately linked in this harvest work. Anyone who accepts what you do, accepts me, the One who sent you. Anyone who accepts what I do accepts my Father, who sent me. Accepting a messenger of God is as good as being God’s messenger. Accepting someone’s help is as good as giving someone help. This is a large work I’ve called you into, but don’t be overwhelmed by it. It’s best to start small. Give a cool cup of water to someone who is thirsty, for instance. The smallest act of giving or receiving makes you a true apprentice. You won’t lose out on a thing.” – Matthew 10:40-42 from The Message
The Well exists to bring our church community together. As we serve and fellowship, we will become “intimately linked” to one another and to Jesus. So, whether you need your cup filled or you have come to give, come to The Well.
