Meet Don Pearson
August 11, 2017
To many he’s known as diesel. We’ll let you figure out why… writer, speaker, student ministry guru and lover of Jesus is what he’s best known for. Get to know Don and his wife Julie through Don’s own words…
Don n Julie met outside Fitzwater Hall, Moody Bible Institute, Circa 1978. He was thunderstruck while she appeared anxious to get to class. But things have a way of a’changin.
Single to married, married to parenting, parenting to the magical land of grand-parenting. Things….they have a way of a’changin.
Don has worked with students for more than 30 years- from the dating era to the social networking era- and witnessed the stunning change brought on by digital interaction. His excitement to step into the lead campus role at Northview is exceeded only by the sober awareness of seeing God at work at both locations of this one church. Things, they do have a way of a’changin.
Julie has been the administrative assistant for two pastors, managed the church library, plays an active role as grandma and helps run the nearly/newly marrieds group within 1829.
Graduates of Moody (Don/Julie), Cornerstone (Don/Julie), and Grand Rapids Theological Seminary (Don), they have three married children and three grandchildren.
Excitement and humble dependence on God define the southwest pathway to Northview. Things, they do have a way of a’changin.
