Solomon wrote: “I have seen everything that is done under the sun…all is vanity…striving after wind.” Our eyes never tire of seeing new things; our imaginations never tire of dreaming thoughts; but if we focus on the world “under the sun,” we experience emptiness that nothing we try ultimately removes, not pleasure, wealth, fame, or power.

We are spiritual people made in God’s image to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. God dwells in the invisible realm. But He sent Jesus, visibly, so by faith we could experience full lives. Fullness comes when we live by faith in Jesus, depending upon the Spirit to help us love God and others.

Ultimately, fullness is not about us, it’s about Jesus and what he wants to do in and through us.

Jesus said, “Whoever abides in me and I in him…bears much fruit” (John 15:5b)

How do you experience fullness in Jesus?
